Charles Raymond Gass passed away at Morningstar Nursing Home on April 10th after a brief illness. Charles was born on May 23, 1929 in West Monroe, the child of Charles and Pearl
(Morey) Gass. Charles retired from General Motors and Owned and Operated Charley's Boat Livery in West Monroe for a number of years. He was an avid sportsman with a passion for fishing and hunting.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Rosella Weerheim and his daughter Jane.
He leaves behind his four children, Joyce (Lyle) Gass of Pulaski, Lois (Jack) Rotella of Joelton, TN, Joan Zukowski of Hastings and Henry (Heather) Gass of West Monroe; one brother, Louis (Mary) Gass of Central Square; five grandchildren, Eric and Rikki-Lyn Cornell, Danielle Rotella, Samantha and Lyndsey Gass.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5pm to 7pm at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. Services will follow at 7PM at the funeral home.
