Charles "Pete" E. Haynes, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. Pete spent his whole life on the North Shore of Oneida Lake as a resident of Constantia. He is predeceased by his parents, Elijah and Chloe Haynes; son, Donald Charles Haynes; brother, Richard; sisters, Beverly Bell and Katherine McGuinness.  

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; son, David Frank; daughter, Cheryl Ann (Robert) Christian; son John Thomas (Clare) Haynes; daughter-in-law, Patricia Haynes; grandchildren, Brian and Mark Haynes, Erin Fitzpatrick, Amelia Christian, Thomas and Michael Haynes, and Grayson and Hobson Christian; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Susanna Haynes, and Brendan and Bridget Fitzpatrick; sister, Harriet Koehler; and many nieces and nephews. 

There will be no calling hours as per Charles' request. Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering at the Constantia Fire House at 12 noon, Saturday, November 26.
