David R. Brown, 82 years young, born in Saranac Lake, went to be with the Angels and Saints on Monday from St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long illness. He worked construction for many years, later becoming a mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, playing a special role in the life of his “little man” Chance.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vicky Brown; five children, Deborah (Chuck) Reichel, Dava (Ned) Dusharm, Donna (Harold) Horning, David E. Brown, and Kim Brown; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
