Dawn A. Phillips-Stalker

Dawn Phillips-Stalker, 86 of Central Square passed away on Friday January 26, 2018 following a brief illness.
An amazing & loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, Dawn truly lived her life for others and her family.  Born in Syracuse, she lived in Brewerton with her late first husband Wayne Phillips until moving to Central Square in 1979.  Dawn retired from JM Fields Department Store of North Syracuse and then spent the rest of her life as a care giver for many elderly people and also as a caretaker for Traub Funeral Home.  Dawn was also a member of the former Brewerton Disciples of Christ Church where she was very involved with church dinners and rummage sales.  Dawn will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, holiday decorations, family gatherings, love of traveling, shopping, her families pets and always putting others before herself.  Most of all, Dawn's world centered around her family.  She was loved by everyone that knew her and she will be truly missed.  Besides her first husband Wayne Phillips, Dawn was also pre-deceased by her second husband Claire Stalker, and her grand daughter Marlene Dilday.
Surviving are her sons, WIlliam (June) Phillips, Wayne Phillips, Donald (Debbie) Phillips; her daughter Lorraine (Kim) Weed; her grandchildren, Paul, Bill Jr., Marcia, Jason, Cindy, Eddie, Shane, Alicia, Brian and Randy; her furry grandchildren,  Max, Keesha, and Merlin;  countless great and great great grandchildren; and several cousins.
Calling Hours will be 4-7pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square with services immediately following.  Burial will be in the spring in West Monroe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central Square Volunteer Fire Department.
