Dorothy L. Jackson, 100, of Bridgeport, peacefully entered into heaven to greet her husband and daughter, on Monday, while surrounded, at home, by her loving family.

Born to Alfred and Katherine Perkins, Dorothy graduated from Eastwood High School. She was a homemaker who raised her six children and one grandchild. Dorothy's greatest love was for her family. She adored all of her grandchildren, including her 90+ great great grandchildren. She looked forward to her Wednesday visits with her grandchildren so she could play peek-a-boo or let them take her seat in her favorite chair. Dorothy enjoyed reading mystery novels, writing, crosswords, crocheting gifts for her family, and socializing. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and was able to reunite with her many family members and friends.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Thomas "Cliff" Jackson and daughter Virginia Calkins. She is survived by her children David, Thomas, Dorothy, Kathleen, Mary, and Joanne; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 11 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Rt. 298, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call from 10-11, at the church, prior to the mass. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Doctors Without Borders, 333 7th Ave., NY, NY 10001.
