Dear Barbra and Family , I am so sadden to here this , As a high school Kid I happen to get a job washing cars and other various duties which would take days to tell you about , I think my Dad who loved Elwood and he also worked for him after he retired ....anyways I leaned a lot from this gental giant , he loved his cheeseburgers and milk shakes from across the street and now and then he would say get one for you!!! When I came back from overseas Elwood picked out a car for me , of course it was a 68 cougar xr7..loaded up at the time. He was a great friend of the Cooper's ,cannot say enough of how much he did for us ....I am forever grateful that as a young kid that I had spent so much time with him .
May he Rest In Peace ...I know he is up in Heaven razing my Dad !!!

Mrs. Engelbrekt and Family,
I never had the chance to meet the both of you , but I feel I know you through your daughter (Pam) and her unmistakable love for you both and the family. Through a time like this I wish I had gotten to know more of the families of the kids I went to school with , but I wanted to say How very sorry I was to hear of the passing of Pam's Dad. She has been a good friend and has done a lot for me especially during the time when I lost my Mom and had no family support.
Mr. Engelbrekt, You can surely rest knowing that you brought up a wonderful family along with your loving and devoted wife, and I know for sure your proud of each and every one of them. God Bless and watch over them until you all meet again.
Your friend always, with love,
John

Sorry for your loss. I worked at Penoyers in high school, I had to go to Lefevers every night to get him cheeseburgers. Very nice man I remember him well.
