Frederick “Fred” G. Trapp, 79, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Monday.

Born in Cortland to Charles and Dorothy Trapp, Fred proudly served with the US Army.  He worked as an Estimator/Glazer for several different companies throughout CNY.  Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Fred is predeceased by his step daughter Patricia Brown Mattice.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, the former Barbara Brown; children Jackie (Mike) Shippee and Robin Trapp; grandchildren Michael (Jen) Shippee, Jeremy Shippee, Joshua Mattice, and Alicia (Chris) Judd; great grandchildren Sydney, Carter, and Olivia; and loving dog Tiffany.

There will be no services.
