James R. Baird, 70, of West Monroe, passed away on Wednesday surrounded by his loving family at home. He served his country honorably by serving three tours in Vietnam with the Navy, and completed his enlistment by serving in Desert Storm with the Air Force. James’s dedication to his country was parallel to the dedication to his family. He was a mentor and teacher to so many who knew and loved him.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Constance (Burrows) Baird; children, Greg (Deanna), Heidi and, Becky; and grandchildren, Sean and Lauren. 

Calling Hours will be held at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, on Friday, December 8th, from 4 – 7 PM. A Memorial Service will follow Calling Hours at 7 PM.
