James W. Lauber, 83, of Central Square, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, with loving family by his side.

Jim served with the US Army from 1957 to 1962.  He worked as Warehouse Manager for General Foods and upon retirement he owned and operated James Lauber Delivery Service. He enjoyed sports, particularly SU Basketball, but his greatest passion was the NY Yankees.

Jim is predeceased by his brother Greg Lauber.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, the former Ruth Hopper; children Mark (Alice), Mike (Beth), and Matt (Jackie) Lauber; brother Lawrence Lauber; grandchildren Joe, Dave, Alicia, Sarah, Kelly, Natalie, Ryan; and great grandchild Hailey.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, 3 to 5 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 N. Main St., Central Square, with a Funeral Service to follow at 5 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY, 13088.
