James N. McCormick

James N. McCormick, 25, of North Bay, passed away unexpectedly at Upstate University Hospital, on Sunday January 28, 2018. He was a current student at O.C.C. Studying for his nursing degree in Pediatric oncology and infectious disease. James grew up playing cards and went into being a dealer at Turning Stone Casino for 4 years. He had an extreme love for the ocean and marine biology and exotic birds.

He is predeceased by his mother Blanche McCormick and brother Kenny Nelson.

James is survived by his fiancé David D. Neal; future mother in law Marcie Cleveland; father Leverne (Shirley Schmidtka) McCormick; brothers Joseph, Natalio, and Jeremiah McCormick, John Nelson, Douglas (Dea) McCormick, Roger (Kim) McCormick, Dennis (Linda) McCormick, Richard McCormick, William McCormick, and Eric (diane) Schmidtka; sisters Penny LeRoy, Wendy (Ron) Purcell, Rose ( Bob) Tubbs, and Marjorie (Chris) Lamb; special cousin Kayla Granger; Life long best friend Nicole Raymond. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 3 PM, in Traub Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
