Jean E. Joyce, 79, of Rotunda, FL, formerly of Bridgeport, NY, passed peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017, with loving family by her side.

Jean earned her RN degree before retiring in 1980 from Syracuse China where she worked as a fine china hand painter.   She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and traveled to various local communities to check blood pressures.  Jean loved to cook, paint, and read but her greatest passion was spending time with her family.

Jean is preceded by her brother Elmer Keeler and son Brian Joyce.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Joyce; son John (MaryAnn) Joyce; daughters Kathleen Joyce, Sharon Joyce, and Brenda Bouthillier; brothers Donald and John (Penny) Keeler; sister Linda (Bob) Lacelle; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bridgeport.  Family and friends may call on Tuesday, 4 to 7 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport.  Burial will take place, immediately following the service, in Collamer Cemetery.
