John Denako, 85, a former resident of Bridgeport, passed on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at 3:00 am, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Lyncourt, NY.

John was a veteran of 20 years in the USAF and had been a Dietician for the VA Hospital for 20 years.

John is predeceased by his wife Therese Denako and daughter Ellen Crisp. He is survived by his children Jean (Chuck) Supernault and Dominick (Vicky) Denako; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and special pets Gabby, Lulu, and Uni.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 6:00 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call from 12 to 2 and 4 to 6 pm, on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will take place on Thursday, at 1:00 pm, in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Croghan.
