Joseph ”Joey” Banack, 17, of Clay, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

Joey was a Senior at CNS High School where he attended BOCES.  He was employed as a Laborer with J&J Haulers in Phoenix.  Joey was a member of Judo & Jiu Jitsu Association of America where he was a former Regional and National Champion.  He enjoyed fishing, playing ball, and music but Joey’s greatest love was spending time with his family.  

Joseph is predeceased by his dad Anthony Davis, Sr., brother Dakota Sibio.  He is survived by his mother Meredith Davis; father Anthony Banack; maternal grandparents Frank and Judy Sibio; grandparents; Bill Tartaro and Annette Doolittle; siblings Melissa Banack, Anthony Banack, LeeAnn Davis, Ireland Davis, and Anthony Davis, II; uncle, Dave (Melissa) Sibio; cousins, Kyle and Angelo; and many extended family members and friends; and loving dogs Dillon and Laya Davis.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, 12:00 to 1:00 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport, with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery in Kirkville.
