Michael R. Banks, 60, of West Monroe, passed peacefully, but unexpectedly, on Sunday.

Michael was known for his generosity and his legacy lives on through his gift of donation.

He is predeceased by his father Boyd Banks and sister Ginny Kinney. Michael is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Margie Banks; sons Shawn (Kimberly) and Shannon (Blair) Banks; mother Florence Banks; brothers Eric, Randy, and Boyd; two granddaughters Bethany and Lily Banks; and many extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, 12 to 2 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, 684 North Main Street, Central Square, with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Mike Thesier.
