Steven P. Cornell, 70, of Cavenovia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23rd.  He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army where he was awarded two Purple Heart Medals and a Bronze Star Medal.  Steve was the owner and operator of Cornell Homes, Inc. in Central Square.

He is predeceased by his mother, Caryl Cornell and sister, Donna Rose Cornell.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, JoAnne; his father, Donald Cornell; two sons, Mark (Dawn) Cornell and Stephen Cornell; a step son, Jim Shuster; three brothers, David B. Cornell, Donald Cornell and Jeffrey Cornell; two sisters, Melanie Pangburn and Deborah Whitney; two grandsons, Jacob and Joey Cornell; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, May 30th from 4-7PM at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., Central Square.  Services will be Wednesday, May 31st, 10 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
