Yvonne Kraus, 65, of Central Square, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. She was born in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late June and Frederick Braun. Yvonne was one of the most caring people you would ever meet. She was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives. She was an active member of the APW PTSA, the APW Girl Scout Troop, the APW Cub Scout Pack, and enjoyed volunteering for APW Little League. She attended every activity her grandchildren were involved with, including Soccer, gymnastics, karate, skiing, baseball, school dances, Girl Scout camping trips and so much more! She was a strong woman who lived every day like it was her last. She never held a grudge and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She was predeceased by her oldest grandson, Collin Smith, in 2011.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dennis Kraus of Central Square; sisters, Jackie McDowell of Port Orange, FL, and Darlene Braun of Altmar, NY; daughters Marie (Robert) Smith of Altmar, NY and Nicole (Sean) Mayers of Parish, NY; grandchildren, Austin and Shiann Smith and Madison, Haylee and Jordan Mayers; as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Nazarene Church in Parish on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 1 PM, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Speaks Foundation or the APW PTSA, 640 Co. Rt. 22, Parish, NY 13131
