Gary Russell Grosso

Gary Russell Grosso, 55,  of West Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2024, at home from a heart attack.

Gary was born on September 14, 1968 in Syracuse.  He is predeceased by his nephew, Anthony Grosso. Gary is survived by his parents, Thomas and Mary; siblings, Thomas (Jodi), and Theresa; children, Michael Anthony, Ashleigh Elizabeth, Matthew Garrett, and Austin Thomas; his first grandchild soon to be born Bellamy Archer of Ashleigh and Josh; also, nieces, Kea (Tony) Pandolfi, and Cara Glazier.

Gary’s career in construction spanned many fields within the industry. He was known for his ingenuity, keen skills, and work ethic. There was never a problem he couldn’t solve. His success, hard work, and dedication to his craft earned the respect of those around him.

Gary loved tools, anything with an engine, and the outdoors. Nothing stopped him from getting outside to fish, ride dirt bikes, and road trip. He lived a nomadic lifestyle to work and see  the country, but always came home for his family.

We witnessed Gary’s many talents and devotion to his family shining bright and strong through his beautiful children. Even as our hearts ache, Gary left us treasured memories filled with laughter, love, and wisdom.

Calling hours for Gary will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday, March 11 at Traub Funeral Home Inc., 684 N. Main Street, Central Square.
