Bert Arnold Gibbs

Bert A. Gibbs, 71, of Pennellville, passed away on Friday. He served in the US Army, was a former member of the Phoenix Fire Department, and a member of the Phoenix VFW. Bert loved his family and enjoyed their many trips to Disney World. He also enjoyed his Tuesday Coffee Club with close friends, collecting coins, and searching garage sales for treasures. Bert is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Smithers.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Gibbs; children, Carrie Gibbs, Theresa (Jason) Dunham, and Denise Gibbs; grandson, Brian Gibbs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Friday, 4 – 6 PM, at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, with a service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Caughdenoy Fire Department, 48 Prospect St, Central Square, NY 13036.
