Blondien Carol Laty, 64, of Syracuse, passed away December 8, 2017 in Syracuse. She was a loving mother to her two sons James M. Santy Sr. and Matthew L. Laty. Blondien earned her

degree in social work and used her talents to help people in need. She greatly loved and enjoyed her family, but her true treasure was her grandchildren. Blondien loved hanging with her friends, butterflies, and surf and turf. She always had a smile in fact, it is her infectious smile that will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Blondien is predeceased by her mother Alberta (Carol) Mathews.

She is survived by her sons; three grandchildren, James M. Santy Jr., Malarie C. Santy and Evelyn Laty; two sisters Kathryn McLaughlin of Syracuse and Shirley Mathews-Jellins of Utah;

and one brother James E. Mathews of Hilton New York.

A celebration of life will be Friday January 19, from 5pm to 9pm at The Tigris Shriners Temple 1121 Milton Ave Solvay. (located in the lower level of the Moose Lodge)

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tigris Shriners.
