Edward J Britting, also known as “Mr. Ed”, passed away on Saturday after a brief illness, at home with his family at his side. Ed served in the Korean War for which he received a Purple Heart. He was a great father, known for his sense of humor and “telling it like it is.” He retired from Upstate Medical Center and was a member of the West Monroe, North Chittenango, and Chittenango Fire Departments.

He is survived by his loving wife Louise (Frank) Britting; children, Stacey (Kevin) Boyle, Stuart, and Steven Caskinett; sister, Arlene Cyr; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and niece Colleen Corkran.
