Edward B. Cook, of Central Square passed away on Sunday with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ed grew up in the Tipperary Hill area and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s School of Syracuse before serving in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the NYS State Fair as a general mechanic, was a member of the Central Square American Legion and Boy Scouts troop leader for many years. Besides his parents, Ed was pre-deceased by his granddaughter Imogene in August.
Surviving are his wife Sandra; his daughter Kristen (Jeremy) Magnan; his son Richard; his grandsons, Elijah and Oliver Magnan; his brother William Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
Per his wish, there are no services or calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
