Joan E. (Brownell) Filippi

Joan E. Filippi, 80, of Central Square passed away on Saturday with her family by her side.
Joan retired from General Electric and St. Joseph's Hospital. She loved life and enjoyed creating beautiful pictures, country music, celebrating Christmas and caring for her many plants.  Above all else, she loved her family and friends.  Joan was pre-deceased by her husband John, her grandson Brandon Gould & several other family members.
Surviving are her children, Joanne (Gary) Lagoe, Randall (Patty) Filippi, Joseph (Tricia) Filippi, Margaret (James) Carmean; her grandchildren, Damien (Janna) Gould, Korey (Jodi) Gould, Nathan Gould, Cameron Filippi; several great grandchildren; her siblings, Muriel Brownell, Rosemary Delore, Thomas Brownell; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held 4-7pm Thursday, December 26 at the Central Square American Legion.
