Joseph J. Burns

Joseph J. Burns, 67, went to be with the Lord on March 19th,, after a long illness. He was born in Auburn, NY to the late James and Anita Burns. Joe spent many years driving truck, and enjoyed camping, 4 wheeling and playing bingo on his computer. Joe was also in the United States Marine Corp, and stationed in Viet Nam. He was also awarded the Purple Heart.
Joe is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mary. A daughter, Jennifer (Les) Liese of Auburn, a son Bryan (Shannon) Vitello of Constantia, a brother, James (Mary) Burns of Port  Byron, a brother, Timothy (Marie) Burns of Auburn, a sister Carolyn (Bunnie) Flavin-Burns of Lake Alfred, Florida. Six grandchildren Emily and Justin of Auburn, Bryson, Anthony, Brentley and Samuel of Constantia, NY. He is also survived by his beloved cat, "Muffin" who was the light of Joe's life.
Calling hours will be at Traub Funeral Home 684 N. Main St. Central Square, on Thursday, March 22nd 10 am to 12 pm, Services will be at 12 pm. A luncheon will be served immediately following services at Constantia, VFW 1560 St. Rt. 49, Constantia, NY
