Joshua Ty Cates-Bishop

Joshua Cates-Bishop, 25, of Mallory passed away on September 14, 2018.

Josh was born on January 5, 1993 to Annette Cates and Todd Bishop. He attended Central Square Central Schools. After his schooling, he had various jobs at numerous places; most notably Burdick Hyundai and Parksite. He found his passion most recently at Stony Creek Ranch.

Surviving besides his parents and step-mother, Arlene Bishop, are his siblings: Andrea Trzaska, Danielle Slade, Allison Murphy, Sarah Cates, Jared Cates; grandparents: Karen and Jim Bishop, and Michael and Ruth Cates; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, redneck tendencies, and constant tinkering. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, big trucks and could fix anything.

Calling hours will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday September 22, 2018 at Life Church in West Monroe, with a memorial service at 3:00 PM. A celebration of Josh’s life will be at the Life Church Center on the corner of 49 and 37 following the memorial service, please feel free to bring a dish to pass.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Monroe Fire Department.
