Kathleen Marie Pauls Jeffrey

Kathleen Pauls Jeffrey, 58, of Canastota, NY, passed away on Saturday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She had been a nurse at Sunnyside Nursing Home. Kathy was an avid reader and loved her cats. She was a member of the 157th NYSV Reenactment Group. Kathy was a selfless individual who would always find a way to help those in need.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Jeffrey; daughter, Megan (Daniel) Riemer; son, Patrick Murray; parents, Earl and Mary Pauls; grandson, Dean Riemer; sisters, Dianne (Joseph) Stefanko, Darleen (David) Scholl, and Linda (Barry) Richards; aunt and godmother, Peg (John) Hoppe; uncle, Francis Scharoun; aunt, Eileen Testone; step-children, Sean, Crystal, Stephanie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held, Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 3 – 6 PM, at Traub Funeral Home, Route 31, Bridgeport. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 10 AM, at St. Francis of Assisi, Bridgeport. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
