Kathleen "Katy" Pomeroy, 83, of Kirkville, passed peacefully on Sunday at the Francis House in Syracuse.

Katy retired from Sears and Roebuck where she worked for 32 years. She was a devoted member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church and lifetime member of Bridgeport VFW Post #8440. Katy was very active in her community and belonged to many organizations including Leisure Time Club. She enjoyed her weekly workouts with her friends at the Adams Center Church, traveling, love for Elvis, and she cherished spending time with her family.

Katy is predeceased by her husband Robert C. Pomeroy. She is survived by her children Allen (Cheryl Lynch) Deitz, Neil (Milly) Deitz, and Janine (Joe) Harmon; step children Robert "Bobby" Pomeroy, Jr., and Melissa (Larry) Dickey; siblings Neil (Peggy) Daley, John Hall; step siblings Barbara, Margie, Kenny, and Bobby; grandchildren Amanda (Steve) Saumier,Tara Tefler, Ronald Geer, Kristina Nesbitt; Danielle (Ed) Neubawer, Shane (Megan) Lynch, and RJ Lynch; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and loving cat Rocky.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, at 2 pm to 5 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport. Funeral Service will follow at 5 pm continued by a Celebration of Life at the Bridgeport VFW Post #8440. Burial will be on Thursday, 11 am, at Woodlawn Cemetery, on Grand Blvd, in Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Bridgeport UMC, 377 NY-31, Bridgeport, NY 13030.
