Melvyn "Doc" Woolridge

Melvyn E Woolridge, 79, of Bernhards Bay, passed away November 13th at Sunnyside Nursing Home, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Bernhards Bay the son of Menzo and Blanche (Piersall) Woolridge, He was known to family and friends as Doc. Melvyn spent most of his life as a construction worker, building houses and later as a Grader Operator.
Doc committed his life to helping others recover from alcoholism. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 51 years. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of the 12 steps, he carried that message to the still suffering alcoholics and was always available to anyone in need.

Doc is predeceased by his son Thomas. Surviving are his children Wayne, Sandy, Patty, and William; grandchildren Gary, James, Sully, Brandy, Shannon and Eric; and nine beautiful great grand children. 

Calling hours are Monday, November 18th, 1-3pm at Constantia Center Baptist Church. Services will be at 3pm officiated by William Bryant with a Celebration of Life immediately following.
