Roberta "Bert" Fellows Van Antwerp

Our mom, Roberta "Bert" Fellows Van Antwerp, 91, of Hastings, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 with family by her side.

Born to Nellis and Mildred Fellows, Bert was a 1946 graduate of Parish High School. She retired from G.E., in Electronics Parkway, in 1993 after 26 years of service. Ma loved to dance. She enjoyed nature, particularly feeding and watching the birds in her yard, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends. Ma's door was always open for anyone needing help. She will be greatly missed by all.

Bert is predeceased by her companion Herbert LaLonde; ex husband Donald Van Antwerp; brother Robert (Grace) Fellows; step sister Mary Jane (John) Burgess; step brother Robert Heistman;  sisters-in-law Lorraine (Leonard) Elderbroom, and Betty (Donald) Eberst; and brothers-in-law Norbert Van Antwerp. She is survived by Robin (Robert) Bryant; Terry (Sue) Van Antwerp, Ronnie (Ron) Van Antwerp, Thomas Van Antwerp, Kenneth (April) Van Antwerp, and Susan (Jamie) Morey; "adopted" son Scott Schill; step sister Frannie (Donald) House and Beverly (Arnold) Herbert; sister-in-law Jean Van Antwerp; 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and loving dogs Abbey and Link.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, 11 to 1 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn, Parish, immediately following the service. Contributions may be made to the Syracuse Rescue Mission.
