A.C. Bowman, 50 of Phoenix, New York, passed away on Thursday January 2nd, 2020 with his wife and son by his side. A loving father, husband, uncle, brother, and friend, he was always there for everyone. He passed due to a battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer that he fought a tough battle against since March 2018.
A.C. was born in Taunton, Massachusetts to the late A.C. Bowman and Nancy Chesbro. He worked as a truck driver for McLane’s before transitioning to a car salesman at Reymore Chevrolet. From there he worked at Billy Whittaker’s until his passing. He had a far reaching presence at the St. Stephen’s Church in Phoenix where he worked as a Youth Group leader since its founding and as a part of the choir to project his voice to the church. A.C. was an avid sports fan, cheering for the LA Dodgers and Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed golfing and skiing whenever he had the chance.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Bowman (Besaw) of 21 years, and his son, A.C Bowman III. He is also survived by other members of his family including his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and brothers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, 4 to 7 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 10am, at St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., In Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Church.
