Barbara J. Checksfield

Barbara was born and raised in Syracuse, NY on January 29, 1929. She passed away in Syracuse, NY on May 15, 2024. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Thomas Checksfield Sr, her sons Scott Allen Checksfield, and Thomas Checksfield Jr, her daughter Terry Checksfield, her brother's Richard Coomey and is wife Sis and Danny Coomey and his wife Nancy and so many others. Barbara is survived by her grandson Wayne Checksfield and his 2 children, her granddaughter Heather (Norm) Fuller and their 7 children her nephew Mark (Tammy) Coomey and their 2 children, her 2 nieces Yvette (David) Scott and her 1 child and Yvonne (Scott) Manchester and their 4 children. Barbara was an amazing, happy, loving, full of energy and joy person. But she was strict and she had patients like a saint. She was down to earth kind of person and not afraid to let you know what she thought about you if you got on her bad side. Her favorite was her nephew Mark Coomey she loved him more then anything! She also loved her family, friends, God, animals and gardening. She will be missed forever and always loved.
