Bernadine “Sally” Auringer, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday May 18, 2025 with her family by her side. In accordance with her wishes, Sally’s family will honor her life privately.
Bernadine was born in Spooner, Wisconsin to the late Kenneth and Irene Webber on August 03, 1948. She married Arthur D. Auringer in Bernhards Bay, NY and the two spent 55 years together.
Sally was a school bus driver for the Central Square School District, and she went on to work as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service.
She traveled all over the world during her life. Some trips included the Caribbean, Italy, Ireland, Hawaii and Alaska. She loved animals, and fed all the local wildlife at her home, from stray cats to raccoons and even foxes.
Additionally, Sally was an avid reader, and she enjoyed plays and the theatre. She was also a talented baker, and everyone especially looked forward to her cheesecakes and strawberry trifle dessert.
Surviving is her husband; Arthur Auringer, her daughters; Jodie (Mike Korzeniewski) Auringer and Patricia (Peter King) Auringer, her brother; Kenneth (Brenda) Webber Jr., as well as her grandchildren; Benjamin, Jordan and Amelia.
