Beverly M. Chidsey, 85, of Central Square passed away peacefully at The Matthew House on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 29, 2025 at the Central Square American Legion from 12:00PM - 4:00PM.
Beverly was born in Buffalo, NY on March 17, 1940. Her parents were Ellen (Schwartzott) and Harry Basinski. Beverly married Glenn W. Chidsey in Buffalo on August 18, 1962, and the two spent over 50 years together raising their three boys.
Beverly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother with a great sense of humor and known and loved for her sarcasm. She enjoyed reading, camping, a nice medium rare Beef on Weck, and an occasional lobster dinner; as well as traveling back home to Buffalo to visit family and, of course, nurturing and loving her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Glenn W.; and her siblings Raymond Schwartzott, and Genneth (Charles “Chuck”) Jackson.
She is survived by her children; Glenn C. (Darlene) Chidsey, Keith (Lisa) Chidsey, and Eric Chidsey; her sister Ruth Rimes; her brother Harry Basinski Jr.; her sister-in-law Iris Schwartzott; and her grandchildren Sarah, Curtis, Thomas, Elijah, Nathan and Kierstin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Beverly’s honor to The Matthew House (https://www.matthewhouse.org) in Auburn, NY which provided exceptional end-of-life care.
