Beverly J. (O'Dell) Doris

Beverly J. Doris, 66, of Kirkville passed away peacefully at home. She was born on March 24, 1954 in New Berlin, NY to the late Julian and the late Betty (Kelsey) O’Dell. Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Doris; her son, John Doris, Jr; siblings, Theresa Pickard, Gary O’Dell, and Janet Oliver.

Beverly, with her husband, John, owned and operated BB’s Corner Store in Kirkville. She was active in Foster Care at Hillside for several years and was a Certified Nurse’s Aide in her younger years. Beverly has been a family care provider for over 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, camping and cleaning. Beverly loved her family and friends. She put everyone else before her own needs.

 Beverly is survived by her husband of 50 years, John; children, Christy (Fred) Whitehead, Michael (Racquel) Doris, and Vicky Leonardo Doris; daughter in law, Melissa Doris; siblings, Curtis O’Dell and Kevin Clark; 8 grandchildren; Amanda (Clarence) Allen, John "Jack" Doris, Dominick Doris, Kaitlyn Whitehead, McKenzie Whitehead, Kayla Leonardo, Adrianna Leonardo, and Madison Leonardo; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Traub Funeral Home, Bridgeport. A Celebration of Beverly’s Life will immediately follow at 2 pm. Private Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Kirkville.
