Beverly E. Leahey passed away quietly at home on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Calling hours will be held at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square on Saturday, June 06, 2026 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM.
Beverly was born to the late Gerald and Freda Capstraw. She married Robert J. Leahey, and worked several jobs over the course of her life. She dedicated over 25 years to the North Country Department store in Central Square, spent several years with the Central Square School District, and worked at the local Byrne Dairy.
Beverly will be remembered for sweet nature, and the love and care she gave all that knew her. She loved her family, and was known as “Gram” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her game shows and The Hallmark Channel, as well as going to the casino. In her earlier years, Beverly and her husband attended the Central Square Community Church. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her parents, Beverly is predeceased by her husband; Robert, and her siblings; Raya Chambers, Laura Capstraw, and Alan Capstraw.
Surviving is her children; Rob (Erin) Leahey, Sean (Christina) Leahey, and Margaret (Mick) Baxter, her siblings; Terry Capstraw and Robin (Ken) Blumer, her grandchildren; Jamie Leahey and Landen Leahey, her close friend; Cindy (Wendell) West, her grand-dogs; Kai and Simone who she adored, as well as extended friends and family.
