Charles Nathan Burt, 83, of Central Square, New York died Sunday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse following a lengthy illness. Born December 7, 1941 in Central Square, son of the late Clyde and Alice Baxter Burt. Chuck was a lifelong resident of Central Square and married is longtime love the former Diane Ingerson on November 30, 1968. He retired from Central Square School district in 2005 following 32 years of service as Head Custodian at Hastings Mallory Elementary School.
He was avid Honda Gold Wing enthusiast riding to Cape Vincent, New York whenever weather allowed along with Diane on her Honda Helix. He also enjoyed reading and watching sporting events on television. He was a knowledgeable expert on all cars and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; a couple nieces and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 29, 2025 in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square, New York. There will be no calling hours.
