Cynthia L. (Lauricella) McPherson

Cynthia died peacefully, after a brief illness.  She was a 1981 graduate of Paul V. Moore High school and a 1983 graduate of SUNY Morrisville.   She worked for many years in the health and human services in various roles.  However, her life's work was raising her 4 children, Megan Mawhinney (Michael), Robert, Emily (Melissa Hall), and Matthew.  She often spoke of how proud she was to have raised 4 successful, confident, "amazing" (her words) kids.  Her dedication to her children was unwavering and selfless.

In addition to her children, she is survived by her devoted parents, Charles and Gail Lauricella, her sister, Christina Moses (Peter), brother Kevin (Beverly) Lauricella, beloved granddaughters Adelyn and Bridget,  along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and ex-husband Donald McPherson.  Cindy will be forever remembered for her quick sense of humor, fierce devotion to her children, compassion for those she cared for, love of music, and her passion for food and cooking.  She spent her life caring for others, both in her family, through her work in healthcare, and in volunteering with the Girl Scouts and Pompey Hill Ladies' Auxiliary.  

The family would like to thank the staff of Loretto's RCU for their compassionate care.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11- 1PM at Divine Mercy Parish, 592 S. Main St, Central Square, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy's name can be made to Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Center, Recreation Department.
