Daniel "Danny" Loveland, Jr.

Daniel A. Loveland Jr., 52, of Cazenovia NY (formerly of West Monroe NY) passed away on Saturday, December 14th.   Danny was born in May of 1967 as the esteemed first and only son to Daniel A. and Joan M. Loveland.  He spent his childhood and teenage years tripping, falling and hurting himself in the most ridiculous and klutziest ways possible.

He graduated with from P.V. Moore High School in Central Square NY in 1985, mostly in one piece, but with plenty of suture scars.  He then spent two years at Morrisville State College, where his free time was spent sledding down the hill in front of the school on a plastic lunch tray.  Strangely enough, he managed to walk away from that time with no severe injuries - just a white mouse named Booger that he saved from a bunch of obnoxious college kids.  

As an adult, Dan worked as a Project Manager for Syracuse Energy; where he was able to help thousands of people all over the country by making their apartments energy efficient. From there, he continued to work as a carpenter, regularly doing rehabilitation work for Covenant Housing, an arm of the InterReligious Council of CNY. His skill can still be seen all over CNY, including in some of Syracuse’s historic churches.  Dan spent his free time kayaking in local waterways, reading, riding motorcycles, breaking bones on snowmobiles, playing Hobo Wars and terrorizing his sisters. 

Surviving are his sisters Kelly (Robert) Sweet and Erin Loveland; and his father Daniel (Muriel) Loveland, Sr. 

No formal service will be held, but farewells may be made by hoisting a shot of vodka and quoting his favorite saying “Peace and love.”
