Danny J. Wescott

Danny J. Wescott, 62 died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Danny was born June 18, 1963 in Syracuse, New York son of Vernon J. Wescott and the late Diane Larribee Wescott. 

The majority of Danny's life he was disabled and confined to a wheelchair. His disabilities didn't prevent him from graduating in the Class of 1983 from Central Square High School or playing Syracuse Flyers Wheelchair Basketball. He  clearly had one of the most positive attitudes and happy dispositions imaginable. He had many interests and loved the Dallas Cowboys, Elvis Presley music and watching wrestling. 

Danny is survived by the most loving wife of 37 years, the former Daye Hollander; his father, Vern Wescott; aunt, Mary Lou Wescott; uncle, John Miner; aunt and uncle June and Bill Phillips; cousins including, Ken and Donna Wescott and a large group of friends and caretakers.

Calling hours will be from 4:00-6:00pm with services to follow immediately on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 North Main Street, Central Square, New York. Burial in Hastings Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
