David A. Smith

Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather, David A. Smith, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024, after a short illness. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

David was an avid hunter, fisherman, and an all around sportsman. He shot clay targets and fished many tournaments, both bass and walleye. David owned and operated D & D Logging and Lumber, LLC with his son, David A. Smith II, for 50 plus years and before in the family business Twin Mill Lumber, Inc.

David was predeceased by his father and mother, Charles and LaWava Smith; and brother, Seymour Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are David's wife of 57 years, Barbara A. Smith; his son, David A. Smith II (Patty J. Smith); granddaughter, Alyx Gerard; sister-in-law, Connie Smith; nephew, Charles Smith; along with several cousins, friends, and business associates.

There will be no calling hours and there are plans for a Celebration of Life in the future.
