Dean Hyatt passed away quietly at home after a long illness. He was 87. Dean was the son of Paul and Mildred Hyatt. He attended Otego High School and Hartwick College. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughters Wendy (Robert) and Brenda, son Craig (Jane), brother Gordon (Norma), brother-in-law Harvey (Mary), grandchildren Chris (Haley), Erin, Kyle, and Cameron, and six great-grandchildren.
Dean was a proud retired Teamster, an avid golfer and sports fan, a good neighbor, and a great friend. He loved living on Oneida Lake and was a long-time member of the Oneida Lake Association. He loved telling and hearing a good story. He will be fondly remembered by all for his warm smile, bright blue eyes, and love of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 9 from noon to 2 PM at Traub Funeral Home in Bridgeport, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Bridgeport Food Pantry.
The interment will be in the spring.
