Denes Zsedely

Denes Zsedely, 86, of Bridgeport, New York passed away at home after a long illness on October 11, 2023. His loving wife of 43 years, Joni, was by his side.

Denes, whom many knew as Dene, was born in Czor, Hungary and never lost his beautiful accent, even after living here for nearly 70 years. He was generous with his time, talents and
treasures. He loved his wife and family well. He was a good friend, always willing to lend a hand or listening ear. He retired from Speno Rail, after working his way up to a machinist, he
was a hardworking employee and proud of his work. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, raising chickens and pigeons, his garden, and his beloved dogs Daisy 1 and Daisy 2.

Dene leaves behind a legacy of six children: Tammy (Mike) Keys, Robert (Laurie) Zsedely, Tim (CarolAnn) Cosgrave, Angela (Trevor) LaVergne, Becky Cosgrave and Robynne King. He had
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved and spoiled. He loved each and every one of his children/grandchildren and boasted of them on a regular basis.

He was a simple man that worked hard and made people glad to know him. You were always made to feel welcome and included. He cared. He will be greatly missed.

Per Dene’s request, he will be cremated, and his ashes scattered at home. No formal services will be held.
