Dennis B. Zufelt

Dennis “Pete” B. Zufelt, 83, of Central Square, passed peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.

Pete was as born October 10, 1941 in Boylston, New York and is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Edith and 9 siblings. Dennis served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962. He retired from Greyhound Lines after 25+ years of service and worked for the Town of Hastings Highway Department 10+ years. He was an active member of the American Legion and loved to golf.

Dennis is survived by daughter Denise (David) Yerdon of Central Square, New York; grandchildren Craig (Martina) Yerdon and Ryan Yerdon, both of Central Square; and great granddaughter Adeline Yerdon (Craig & Martina). Also, cared for and loved by companion Fay Jacobson of Central Square and extend family Jennifer, Lenny and family of Fabius, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm followed by a service at Traub Funeral Home Inc., 684 N. Main Street, Central Square, New York. A “Celebration of Life” will held in the Spring.
