Derek S. Thorn

Derek Thorn, 42, of Mallory, New York, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 with family and friend at his side. Born on November 11, 1982, in Syracuse, New York. Derek is the son of Penny and Steve Thorn.

Derek is survived by his loving parents; his brothers, Edward Landry of Wisconsin; Brandon Landry of Mallory; & Steve Thorn Jr. of Central Square; nephews Logan David, Logan Parker, Anthony, Lennox, Charlie & niece Ava. Also the ladies in his life, Mandy & Sasha.


Derek is known for his kind heart, his infectious laughs and doing anything he possibly can to make any child's day just a little bit
happier. Whether it was lending a hand to friends and family or brightening someone’s day with his presence, Derek had a way of making people feel valued and loved. He had a passion for life, music, fun and most of all, his family.
