Donald F. Chaires Sr.

Donald F. Chaires Sr. AKA Papa, passed away on Wednesday December 18, 2024 peacefully with his  family by his side. 

A Celebration of Life in Donnie’s honor will be held at a later date.

Donald was born on January 07, 1951. He married Gloria Ann Lenhart on March 12, 1970 in Maryland, and dedicated many years working as at the Oberdorfer Foundry in Syracuse.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Above all he loved his family and being “Papa” to his grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his mother; Helen Wood, and a sister; Elaine Bryant.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of over 54 years; Gloria “Doty” Lenhart Chaires, his children; Donald (Paula) Chaires Jr., Edward (Kristy) Chaires and Patty (Joel) Chaires, his fur baby, “Baby Girl” as well as several grandkids, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
