Eileen (Oldfield) Schwartz

The Schwartz and Saiya family sadly announce the passing of Eileen Schwartz, 73, of Skaneateles, on December 8, 2020. She was born on December 12, 1946 in Middletown, NY to the late Ruben and the late Elsie (Edwards) Oldfield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Schwartz, Sr and her sister, Barbara.

Eileen retired as a Mental Health Therapy Aide for the Mid Hudson DDSO in 1996. She loved to read and loved to cook. Eileen’s favorite moments were spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was very creative and loved to sew. Any one that was around her felt loved and she made everyone feel like family. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Her children will always have fond memories of this magical time with her. She made Gingerbread houses from scratch and will always be remembered for her Christmas cookies.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Anthony Saiya; her children, Robert (Sandra), Todd , Melissa (Daniel); step children, Kenneth (Sarah), Shawn (Carl), Tonya; grandchildren, Joseph (Hannah), Sarai (Nemanja), Zackary, Kyle (Jazzy), Katelynn, Daniel Jr, Samantha, Hanna, Cully (Katlyn), Evan (Kristina), and Arianna; 3 great grandchildren; her siblings, Virginia (Pat), Lawrence (Kathy), and Thomas (Sue).

There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date.
