Elizabeth (Betty) Ruth Carroll Godici, 81 of Oswego, NY, died Tuesday April 18th at home surrounded by her family. Born March 22, 1942 the daughter of the late Philip Carroll and Barbara Donahue Carroll, she lived in Scriba, NY where she attended a one room schoolhouse before going to St Paul’s Academy and Bishop Cunningham Senior High School. She then attended Mrs McCarthy’s business school in Rochester before returning to Oswego to work for Sealright in Fulton. After getting married she became a full time mother and wife providing her family with a loving, caring and comfortable home. Her husband Fran’s career took them to many places including Phoenix, AZ, Plano, TX, Camp Hill, PA and Kwajalein, MI before settling back in Scriba. After raising their family they sold their house in favor of life on the road in an RV. After years of wintering in warmer climates and summering in Oswego they gave up the traveling and moved to Oswego once more.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Francis Godici, her high school sweetheart and best friend. She is also survived by her children; Karen (Marty) Muldowney of Tully, Greg Godici of Oswego, Ray (Linda) Godici of Mexico, Danny (Laura) Godici of Brewerton and Katie Godici of Oswego. She was a devoted grandmother and will be missed by all of her grandchildren; Casey (Ahren) Studer, Michael Muldowney, Kaitlin (Zack) White, Domenic Godici, Julianna Godici, Alaina Godici, Braden Godici, Jacob Price, and Annabella Price. Great Grandchildren; Connor Studer, Isaac Studer, Bennett Studer, Silas White and Thea White. She is also survived by her siblings Philip (Carol) Carroll of Scriba, Patricia (John) Fox of Scriba along with dozens of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her infant daughter Cassandra Godici, her sister Constance Carroll Richardson, her granddaughter Maggie Price and her grandson Matthew Muldowney.
