Ernest E. “Ernie” Darrh, 77, of West Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday.

Ernie married Marlene Darling on December 28, 1968 in Camden, the couple shared a beautiful life together for 52 years. He worked for WCNY TV Channel 24 for 40+ years as an engineer (and TV doctor.) In his free time, he loved woodworking, leather craft, bird watching, camping, helping others, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene; their children, Julie (Dale) Rice, Lorie Darrh, and Edward (Cheryl) Darrh; grandchildren, Iris (Ryan) Rice Russell, and Andréa Darrh; brother and sister in law, Burton (Linda) Darling; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at the Hastings Fire Department on May 8, 2021 from Noon - ?

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hastings Fire Department, Hospice of CNY, and the Lions Club of Central Square.
