Fern E. Fidler

Fern E. Fidler, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Fern was born on February 20, 1939, in Mallory, NY, to the late Willis Buss ad Hazel (Lynch) Buss.

She worked at the Department of Social Services as a custodial worker for many years.

Fern enjoyed being with her family and the Holidays, but mostly shopping was her favorite.

In addition to her parents, Fern is predeceased by her siblings, Vernice Ritzel, Virginia Watkins, Betty Buss, Norma Ackerman, Shirley Burghart, Florena Bulson, Hazel Lavoic, Grace Potter, Sonny Buss, James Buss, and Dawn Lalone.

Fern is survived by one sister, Sue Vault of Mexico; daughters, Debbie (Bohne) Dennis of Baldwinsville, NY, Darleen & Chuck Miller of Williamstown, NY, and Cindy & Alvin Herrington of Mexico; son, Walter Fidler Jr., of Mexico; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, Jun 18 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Traub Funeral Home Inc., 684 N. Main Street, Central Square.

A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish, NY at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seneca Hill Manor’s long-term care unit.
