Floyd W. Henry, 94, of Pennellville, passed away on November 27, 2021. He was born on March 9, 2021 to the late Edwin and the late Sadie (Revier) Henry in Massena, NY. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Ila in 2007.
Floyd joined the United States Army and served during World War II. After his service, he worked for the Syracuse Housing Authority where he retired from. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida. He loved music and playing the Guitar. Floyd was an avid Fisherman, Nascar enthusiast, and watching sports. Floyd was a man of the people…. He was social and everyone loved him.
Floyd is survived by his daughter, Betty (Tom Griffin) Godzwon, who was “Daddy’s Girl” and he loved her more than anything in this world; his son, James Henry; grandchildren, Greg Godzwon, Jennifer (Daniel) Erno, and Chris (Megan) Godzwon; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Erno, Emma Erno, Jacob Godzwon, and Juliana Godzwon; brother, Daniel Henry; his companion of many years, Blanch Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square from 11-1 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Roosevelt Cemetery, Pennellville.
