Gary Michael Brown

Gary Michael Brown passed away at home on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Born October 26, 1953, to the late Robert and Katherine (Nadenko) Brown.

He grew up in Central Square, NY and attended Paul V. Moore High School. Gary retired from Southern Container. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. Gary also enjoyed watching SU sports, car racing, The Price is Right, and Gunsmoke.

In addition to his parents, Gary is predeceased by his wife of 31 years Barbara, and brother Robert.

Gary is survived by his children, April (Rick) Hobson and Gary (Mara) Brown; siblings, Christine (Kevin) Price, David (Patty) Brown, Michael (Michelle) Brown, James  (Daphne) Brown, and Linda (John) Kelly; sister-in-law, Cheryl Brown; grandchildren, Nicholas, Ava, and Alyssa;  fur-grandpuppies, Ryder and Stella; and along with many friends.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, February 13, from 3:00pm -5:00pm, with a funeral service following immediately at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY.

A Celebration of life will be held in the spring.
